Analysis on price trend of metal silicon market this week
China's total export volume of silicon metal products in February was 47,532 tons, an increase of 3,246 tons year-on-year, up 7.33%, and a decrease of 4,116 tons month-on-month, down 7.97%. The total export volume from January to February was 99,180 tons, decreased by 8,687 tons year-on-year, down 8.05%.
According to the analysis of Hainan West Asia, the market price of silicon metal is still declining this week. Since the end of last year, a relatively long period of weakness has made it difficult to maintain some factories. Factories in South China have stopped production and cut production. Due to the weak price, the market is not active in buying goods, and only part of the just-needed orders have been released recently, so the inventory of major ports is still at a high level with little change, and it will be difficult to consume quickly if the demand is not boosted in the short term and the export is not improved.
