Iranian FeSi being priced out of the market
Cheap Iranian ferrosilicon is a thing of the past. The country’s ferrosilicon association recently announced a $150 per mt increase in export prices from $1,100 per mt ex works due to power; the c.i.f. price would be around $1,250 Rotterdam. The Iranians only produce 70-72% grade FeSi and the Iranian ferrosilicon also has high Al and P levels but is suitable for blending.
